Cranberry Apple Crisp
4 large green apples, peeled & sliced to 1/2 inches*
1 cup fresh cranberries
3/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup oats
3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
3/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/3 cup softened butter
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Butter a square baking pan. Place apple slices and cranberries in the pan. Mix remaining ingredients well and sprinkle over fruit. Bake 30 minutes. Serve hot with ice cream or cold with whipped cream.
*we were lucky to use an apple/corer/peeler/slicer in class and had a lot of fun with that interesting tool.
